The Alpha's Quest Part 2 available for pre-order at Amazon
The Alpha's Quest Part 2 is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Amazon has provided this feature for all authors now and I plan on utilizing it.
Be the first person on your block in line for The Alpha's Quest Part 2.
A strong evil presence and a growing lustful desire have all but shattered what was supposed to be routine rescue mission.
Proud alpha wolf Hawk is trying to ignore the voices in his head as they switch between urging him to harm curvy bombshell Ciara or take her as his mate right there on the forest floor effectively breaking the vow of celibacy he has taken.
It's do or die time for Hawk as he finds not only his mission, but identity on the line.
Ciara still believes the sexy wolf that accompanies her is nothing but a figment of her imagination brought on by hallucinogenic cactus juice.
However, he's a key part of the vision quest that she must complete to rescue herself from the clutches of her drug and alcohol addiction.
Now she's tormented by her bodies own desires as she grows closer to Hawk, but will sleeping with him completely end everything she has worked for?
The Alpha's Quest Part 2 is 18,500 words of sexy shifter adventure. It is the continuation of The Alpha's Quest serial and The Bucklin Wolves series.
This book is intended for mature audiences only.

The Alpha's Quest Part 1 Released
It's here: The Alpha's Quest Part 1!
The Alpha's Quest Part 1 continues the exciting The Bucklin Wolves series. Pick up where Rowan and Eva left off as we follow mysterious Skyvale alpha Hawk into the haunted Cedarpoint forest.
"Ciara is a party girl with a sordid past. Now she finds herself on a court-mandated "spiritual journey" by herself in the middle of the woods. Unfortunately her journey is turned into an escape for her life as a naked, obviously drugged, stranger pursues her through the forest.
Hawk is the lone, celibate alpha of the Skyvale pack. He's taken it upon himself to enter the massive Cedarpoint forest and hopefully find Leena, the mate to Satan's Angels leader. Unfortunately there's a very strong evil presence in the forest that's preventing him from finding the girl and saving Bucklin from certain doom.
When their paths converge deep in the forest Ciara thinks she's found her guardian angel while Hawk just sees someone that needs his protection. But, something begins growing between the two of them that will change their outlook forever.
The Alpha's Quest is an 18,000 word serialized novella set in The Bucklin Wolves Serial. It is the first in The Alpha's Quest serial and a continuation of the Taken By The Wolf serial.
It is not intended to be read out of order and Taken By The Wolf is intended to be read in order before reading The Alpha's Quest.
This book is for mature audience's only."

Kindle Unlimited
I'm sure many of you have heard all about Kindle Unlimited recently. Amazon's new subscription service that allows you to borrow as many books as you want for $9.99 a month.
It sounds like quite a deal right? Based on waht I'm about to say I probably shouldn't be advertising for them like this!
But here's the deal. I'm not going to be enrolling my books in Kindle Unlimited. Please please, put down your pitchforks and hear me out.
Most of my books are sold at Amazon, this is true. I assume most of you reading this have bought my books through Amazon. Heck, the sidebar buy links on this very website take you to Amazon. But, I have a significant amount of readers that buy my books at Apple, Barnes and Noble, Google, All Romance EBooks and Kobo.
If I were to enroll in KDP Select and utilize the Kindle Unlimited program then that would cut all those readers out. Your books have to be exclusive to Amazon to utilize this program. If I did this I would be denying a large portion of my readership access to The Bucklin Wolves series which is in full swing.
They've all started reading the story of the Bucklin Wolves and enjoying Rowan/Eva's life together as well as wondering what the stories for the other characters hold. If I enrolled my future books into KDP Select I'd be essentially telling those readers I didn't care about them finishing the story. That's not me, I write my stories for everyone to enjoy, not just people with a Kindle or Kindle App.
I hope you all understand.
The Bucklin Wolves series will take us through to the end of the year. After that I may experiment with different paranormal creatures (I love me some demons and angels), longer books and I may even decide to write a Kindle only story at that time to utilize Kindle Unlimited. But I absolutely WILL NOT pull the rug out from under my readers that have discovered The Bucklin Wolves through a store other than Amazon.
And as always the first novel of every serial, that is widely distributed, will be 0.99 until the second book comes out and then it will be free. This will never change, no matter how successful I am and no matter how long the books are.
I don't care if I start writing 350,000 word Tom Clancy lenght novels. The first in any serial or series will be 0.99 until the second book is released, then it will be FREE.
This is for my readers to discover me and have a low risk/high reward structure. My writing isn't for everybody and I'd hate for you to pay for the first book in a series or serial and hate it and be out any money, even if it's only 0.99.
Now as you noticed I put the caveat "that is widely distributed". That's because Amazon will not let you set a book to free forever if you are a member of KDP Select.
I don't know if many of you know this but Amazon has no "free" setting. The lowest you can price your book is 0.99.
So how do I get my novels free? By setting them to free at B&N, Apple, Google, etc. Then Amazon will price match it to free. That's how Lost Alpha Part 1 and Taken By The Wolf Part 1 became free by Amazon price matching it to those other retailers.
Obviously if it's not on other retailers then there's no way to make it permanetly free at Amazon.
But again, right now I have no KDP Select/Kindle Unlimited plans. In the future if demand is high for me to join the program I may experiment with an Amazon exclusive serial, but it damn sure won't be The Bucklin Wolves.
Thank you for understanding,
J Ryan

Taken By The Wolf Part 3 Released!
It's here! The final part to Taken By The Wolf!
This is the longest story in The Bucklin Wolves series so far. It ties up Rowan and Eva's story and moves us into Hawk's story.
Happiness floods Eva and she does her best to ignore the creeping sensation that her world could be shattered in an instant. The dominant and sexy wolf, Rowan, has claimed her as his mate, and life in Bucklin is peaceful. Almost too peaceful. The imminent threat of attack from the brutal biker gang, Satan's Angels, hangs over the town.
Rowan is pleased with his mate claim. Eva has fulfilled his wildest fantasies and more...filling his life with sensual pleasures and the softness that a woman brings. Unfortunately he's finding it increasingly difficult to control his inner wolf when it comes to Eva's safety. She's made it clear she doesn't like his murderous reactions to any threat, but his wolf must act, especially with so many threats so close.
The Bucklin Wolves are not done! The next serial: Lost With The Alpha will cover the mysterious alpha Hawk and a new female lead: Ciara. But, have no fear, Rowan and Eva will still appear sporadically for the rest of the series before taking a big role in the final book of the series where all characters come together.
Lost With The Alpha is due out the first week of August 2014.
But, we're getting ahead of ourselves aren't we? Check out Taken By The Wolf Part 3 first!
